10 Reasons you should rent a Campervan!
1. Freedom!
This is possibly the best part of going on a Campervan holiday! You can plan a route beforehand and pick where you would like to go or you can make it up as you go along! If you arrive somewhere only to find it’s not what you had imagined, drive on and pick somewhere else! Likewise, if you find somewhere you love, you can stay a little longer. The open road awaits and you can tailor your trip to fit in as much or as little you like!
2. Quality Time
When camping you have no choice but to get up close and personal with your fellow campers! Camping is a great bonding experience for families. With everybody’s hectic schedules this is a great opportunity to connect as a family again and become even closer. Kids especially do so much so young, partaking in various sports and clubs. This is a great opportunity for them to switch off and just live in the moment. If you really want to make the most of this quality time make it an electronics free holiday (or at least for 23 hours of the day!)
3. Experience
Camping is an experience you will never forget. It really is a holiday with a difference and you will make memories to last a lifetime. Adventure awaits and this is one holiday that will be talked about for years to come. What often happens with first time campers, is that they fall in love with the experience and it becomes an annual trip!
4. Nature
Immerse yourself in nature and appreciate the smaller things in life! Spending more time outdoors, going for walks or hikes or just exploring the surrounding area. You learn to appreciate again how beautiful mother nature really is, whether it’s exploring a woodland, hiking a mountain or rambling along a sandy beach.
5. Home away from home
With a campervan you get to bring some of your home comforts with you. This is ideal when you have kids as you can easily bring some of their belongings which they can’t bear to be without! You can move around from place to place without having to repack everybody’s clothes into a suitcase each time. To really embrace the whole experience of camping, try to only bring the essentials. Kids won’t need to bring many toys, there will be plenty to see and do wherever you go!
6. Healthy
There really is no better feeling than being outside in the fresh air! It does wonders for the heart and soul. You are more active on a camping holiday too which burns calories, releases endorphin’s which fight stress and make you feel positive! It’s also good for your eyes to have a break from the computer and mobile screens which we are all guilty of looking at day in and day out!
7. Food
Another huge perk of a campervan holiday is that you can fill up your fridge and cupboards with food before you set off. This will save you money and you can always buy fresh from local delis, fruit and veg shops and bakeries. So, you can have a cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner and a cup of tea whenever you feel like it! If you’re on route somewhere just pull in and eat. This saves time trying to stop, park and find somewhere to eat.
8. Learn something new
While camping you will learn new skills. Everybody pitches in and kids will love a bit of responsibility, be it picking an activity to do or helping prepare food. They will also learn all about science and nature when out exploring and it’s a chance to try out a new activity that you may not have tried before such as fishing or kayaking!
9. Making Friends
Staying on a camping site is like being part of a big community, everybody is friendly and willing to help each other out! Kids make friends and you can chat to the neighbour nearest to you. Camping also allows for friends and families to travel together. You can organise a group trip and stay beside each other on the campsites!
10. Peace and re-energise
You really get to unwind on a camping holiday. No school runs, work deadlines and best of all none of the fuss usually associated with holidays such as airport queues and check-ins. Camping is a break from the routine of daily life where things are more simple and uncomplicated. By the time nightfall comes you are ready for bed after all of the day’s activities! Without the usual noise of televisions and household appliances you get a great night’s sleep. Smaller campsites will be quiet and peaceful and if you can get one near a beach, all the better! You will leave feeling relaxed and revived when you return home!
